Picture Update

For those of you who don't live in NC or for those of you live in NC and live in a hole, it snowed this week.  A bunch.  We had at least 6.5 inches of snow that fell Friday night into a lot of the day Saturday.  This is the third snow since Henry has been alive, which is crazy, because it's snowed more in his life percentage-wise then it has in mine!  Little dude's been here almost 13 months, and it's snowed three times.  3 times in 13 months is way more often than in my life.  Unfortunately, he won't remember any of them.  He probably won't find that a bad thing, though, because he does NOT like the cold.  I think if it could snow and be, like, 80 degrees outside, he would love him some snow.

If you look in the picture, you can see his "tracks" in the snow.

Less than five minutes later...

...look at that face!  Obviously through with this snow stuff and the accompanying cold.

I want to show you this cool picture.  We have a butterfly bush that has beautiful blooms during the spring and summer.  This thing is huge.  John pruned it one time (by pruning, I mean whacking it to the ground and leaving hiswife to think he killed it and mourn over it.)  Undeterred, that thing came back bigger and bushier than ever.  Anyway, there were icings hanging on the bush, and I don't mean wimpy icicles, these were icicles on steroids (the Olympic committee would have revoked any medals this plant won.)  Check it out.

Is that not crazy!?  It's like giant fangs hanging off the butterfly bush.  When God sends snow our way, He also sends amazing sights in nature.

Finally, here is a picture I took of Henry today, simply because I liked the clothes I put him in, and I thought he looked cute.

Doesn't it look like he's just about to sprint across the room?  Sprint isn't the right word, though--more like lurch.  He is getting better about walking.  It's becoming smoother.  Isn't his outfit cute!  Here's another one of him in it:

He's holding a disposable washcloth--you get them wet and the soap's already there so you don't have to add any.  He likes to take them out of their box and put them in the trashcan (empty of course.)  I guess it's a new game.

Here is my new favorite picture:

Look at that face!  Those eyes are amazing!  I could just squeeze his little face right off!  I love that kid.

lovin

Hey, I am lovin that outfit too!  What a hansome big boy look for our little guy!  He looks so big!  People at church always joked me that I dressed my peanut like a little man.  But, hey, they are adorable that way, right?

Cute

Little boys look SO cute when dressed up like little men!  I can never get John to wear a sweater over a long sleeve button up shirt; I'm trying to convince him that it's a cute way to dress.  Maybe he'll take a cue from Henry!

Dearest Laura, Henry looks so

Dearest Laura,

Henry looks so cute!  He looks so cute in his jeans, sweater and plaid shirt.  He looks so cute in his blue hat and gloves, but he doesn't look happy at all out there in the cold snow!  I don't blame him for being unhappy, though, for the air temperature was in the teens, and that is too cold for anyone to be outside for more than a few minutes.  Tender little ones suffer the most and the fastest from climate and temperature swings.  YOU looked pretty in your pink jacket, but you looked so very cold, too!   The icicle on the butterfly bush was amazing.  What a great blog!  I love you all!  Love forever,  Mom

Love you, too, Mom!  See you soon!

I really like that outfit.

I really like that outfit.  Owen has an outfit simular to that one.  It is a plaid shirt with an orange sweater.  It usually goes from the dryer to Owen.  I love babies in tiny adult clothes.  I can totally relate to taking a picture simply because you like what he is wearing =) Henry is so adorable.  I think he looks like you.  I am sure he has moments of looking like different people.  At least that is the case with Owen.

:o)

Thanks, Nicole!  I think he looks like me, too, especially in the eyes.  Most people take one look at him, notice his hair, and proclaim he looks just like his daddy.  And while he has his daddy's hair and his daddy's lips, it took two of us to make him.  I contributed something, right!?  lol  I think as Owen gets older, he looks more like you.  When he was little, I wasn't too sure, but now I think it's you.  And I love his smile and how his eyes crinkle up; it's so cute!
