Picture Update and IKEA

I haven't posted any pictures in a while, so I thought I would put some up of the last few weeks.

Thanksgiving is a huge affair for my father-in-law.  It's his favorite holiday, so we all gather at the church fellowship hall to have lunch.  The food is always good, and it's nice to see relatives that you don't see any other time of the year (except for July 4.)  Here is Henry in his First Thanksgiving shirt, as this was his first Thanksgiving not being inside my belly!  :o)

He also has on his new shoes.  I finally had to break down and buy the boy shoes because he wouldn't leave his socks on, and it's too cold to go barefoot in November and for the rest of the winter!  We got a great deal on two pairs of Pedipeds shoes on eBay for him.  He is so cute in them!

At the fellowship hall, there is a piano.  Henry LOVES to plunk on the piano keys.  If he sees a piano in a room, he will crawl over to it and bang on the keys.  It's cute, if a little loud.

He also showed one of his cousins how to play the piano.  It was so cute when his cousin came over; Henry leaned over in his high chair, touched his cousin's arm, and started babbling as if to say, "Hey!  How are you?  Isn't this fun!?"  It was adorable.  Henry is such a social child (he gets that from his mommy!)

Notice how Henry uses his thumb on the piano keys.  He uses his thumb on everything!

Now for some bath pictures.  As Henry is getting older, his hair is starting to come in more and more.  Because it's curly, it looks like it hasn't grown very much, and because it's blond, it looks like he has bald spots.  But, I am happy to report that his hair is in fact growing longer and he has no bald spots!  Yay!  But, seriously, with all those curls, little dude has a 'fro whenever he gets out of the bath each night.  Check out the hair!

This next picture makes me laugh.  The look on his face is one of either sheer boredom, exhaustion, or "Mom, quit taking pictures of me, and put my diaper on!"  haha

He doesn't look amused, does he!?

Today, my mom came down to our house, and we went to IKEA.  I had never been to IKEA, but that is one cool store!  It's HUGE!  But everything was so nice and it was clean and laid out well.  I think it would be fun to be able to go there one day and just browse the showroom upstairs to see all the different things they have.  Mom got Henry some cute Christmas and birthday presents while we were there, and I got him one last Christmas present.  It was definitely a neat place to go.

And it was a very neat day to

And it was a very neat day to share at IKEA with you and Henry!!!  Thank you for driving us to Charlotte and for oohing and aahing with me over all of those fantastic little wooden toys!  I hope that Henry will enjoy each and every one of his new Christmas, Birthday and Easter toys!  I also hope that he won't outgrow them too fast -- for he is certainly an explorer, and learning so much every day!! (Thank you for providing him a stimulating and creative day of learning every day at home!)

It was a wonderful day with you and Henry!!!  I thank God that you, Henry and I could share it and bask in the blessings that God rained down on us!  I love you soooo much!

The pictures are excellent!  Please e-mail them to me when you have a chance!

Love forever,  Mom

Henry is so cute! (as always)  His curls are unbelievable.  He is just getting more and more handsome.  - Yeah, Ikea is great.  We have two pieces of Ikea in our house and love them (especially considering we got one on an amazing one day half off sale!)
